COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS PARTNER TO HOLD DRIVE TO SEND TWO SEMI-TRUCK TRAILERS OF WATER TO AID PEOPLE OF TEXAS IMPACTED BY THE DEADLY WINTER STORM

LOUISVILLE, KY (February 22, 2021)— On Tuesday, February 23, 2021, M3 Events by Mechelle and other community organizations to host “502 Water 4 Texas,” a drive to send two semi-truck trailers full of cases of water bottles to the people devastated by the deadly winter storm in Texas.

Mechelle Porter, the owner of M3 Events by Mechelle says, “There’s so much power when we come together. But after I saw the heartbreaking reality many Texans faced of not having things like running water, I tossed and turned all night. During that time, the Lord gave me a vision to hold a massive community effort to benefit the people of Texas. We hope we can get the entire community to support this effort and bring cases of water to send at least two semi-truck trailers to Texas— but we’re hoping we need more trailers!”

Partnering organizations include: Bates Community Development Corporation, Black Community Development Corporation, Black Nurses Rock – Greater Louisville, Designs by Tony, Family Life Center, Inc., Haaylo Media, HJI Supply Chain Solutions, Isn’t She Lovely Hair Salon, Louisville Urban League, Midwest Backline Company, Rajon Rondo Foundation, Rodeo Drive, and St. Stephen Baptist Church.
